Description
Give It Time is exactly what we did. This oak-aged Gamay Noir is our favorite red wine, and we haven’t been able to release it since 2021. Weather conditions in other years just didn’t allow for the quality we demand. But 2024? The conditions finally aligned, and this wine is worth every day we waited.
WHAT TO EXPECT
This is the more serious sibling to Inside Out. Same Gamay Noir grape, but aged in oak barrels instead of stainless steel. The result is richer, more complex, with subtle spice and depth you won’t find in our other reds. Still food-friendly and approachable, but with more layers to discover.
If Inside Out is for Tuesday pizza night, Give It Time is for Saturday dinner with people you love.
PAIRS WITH JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING
Roasted lamb, beef stew, mushroom risotto, aged cheeses, or a quiet evening by the fire. This wine can handle richer dishes and rewards slow sipping.
HOW TO SERVE IT
Serve at cool room temperature (55-60°F). Decanting for 20-30 minutes opens it up nicely, but it’s not required.
THE BACKSTORY
Gamay Noir is the heart of what we do at 20 Deep. Inside Out shows its playful, fruity side. Give It Time shows what happens when you let it grow up a little—12 months in oak barrels, developing complexity and structure while keeping that signature brightness.
We named it Give It Time as a reminder to ourselves: good things take patience. We could have released a lesser version in other years, but we didn’t. We waited for a vintage that met our standards. This is that vintage.
First release since 2021. When it’s gone, we don’t know when we’ll have it again.
